How to do when your acer ap16j8k laptop battery won't charge
1, Please check the hardware at first:
a, Clean the acer ap16j8k battery contacts. Try charging the laptop battery with the power off. Some laptops draw a lot of power -- so much so that they can't efficiently charge the battery and run demanding tasks at the same time. c, Update your drivers, open up the device manager, and under Batteries you'll find a number of entries.
There should usually be three, one for the battery itself, one for the charger and a third called 'Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery'. Right click on all of these entries head into properties, then into the driver tab and find the 'Update Driver' button (This may also be found by just right clicking the entry and hitting 'Update driver software'). Once you've done this, restart your laptop and try plugging the charger in again.
If you try all of these troubleshooting steps and your battery is still not working properly, it's time to get a new battery.
